If you enjoy the beauty of A Woman’s Garden and want to preserve it for future generations, you may wish to leave a legacy gift to the Woman’s Council to ensure the garden is perpetually maintained in a pristine manner. Through thoughtful financial and estate planning, you can make a more significant gift than you might have felt comfortable making during your lifetime.
There are several ways you may support the garden by including the Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum in your will or living trust. You may name the Women’s Council as a beneficiary of a retirement plan, an IRA or a life insurance policy. You may also designate the Women’s Council as a beneficiary of certain liquid assets.
As always, you should consult with your financial or legal advisor to determine which option is best for you and your family. When you have decided on your gift, please contact the Chairman of the Perennial Society to make the organization aware of your intent to support the garden with your planned gift.
All persons who choose to make a legacy gift to the organization will become members of the new Perennial Society of the Women’s Council. The future donors will be recognized in the Yearbook and invited to an annual tea celebrating their intent to provide perennial support to the organization.
