PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

I am truly excited to invite you to become a member of the Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden! Founded in 1982, our primary mission is the funding, beautification, and endowment of A Woman’s Garden, one of the principal gardens in the Arboretum. With the active support of our wonderful members, we will continue to fulfill our mission.

Being a part of the Women’s Council means not only supporting the garden, but also being a part of our community of members who share a passion for nature and our Arboretum. With the theme Rooted in Friendship-Blooming with Purpose, we look forward to a wonderful year of events, including the following:

·       New Member Party in September

·       Membership Meetings with special guest speakers and delicious luncheons on September 10, 2025, December 1, 2025, and May 13, 2026

·       Fall and Spring FUN & educational trips

·       Opportunities to plant in A Woman’s Garden

·       Member social events, including Member Celebrations, Spring Tea, and Fiesta in the Garden on May 6, 2026

·       Grand reopening of Pecan Parterre in a Women's Garden: This portion of our garden is centered around a large pecan tree and the sculpture "Play Days," which is on permanent loan from the Dallas Museum of Art. We look forward to celebrating once the garden is complete!

Most importantly, please support our two signature fundraising events:

A Writer’s Garden                         Mad Hatter’s Tea
November 11, 2025                        April 24, 2026

We encourage you to join online here OR text MEM2025 to 41444 by June 30, 2025 to streamline processing, to ensure your inclusion in our yearbook, and to receive timely updates about upcoming events you won’t want to miss!

I invite you to join us as we continue to bloom with purpose! Please take a stroll through our most beautiful acreage overlooking White Rock Lake. We have accomplished so much, but our plans for the future are even greater!

With deepest appreciation,
